15 Months

Ella and I just got back form her doctor for her 15 month appointment. She is 18.35 lbs (1%), 30 1/2 inches (53%), and head circumference is 46.3cm (34%). The doctor at her 1 year appointment was worried about her weight gain, but the doctor said today that she is growing at a steady enough rate that he doesn't want to do any tests. This is great news, because I feared she would have to have her blood drawn. She did get two shots today, her DPT and chicken pox. We are going to hold of on the MMR till about 18 months or 2 years old.

Other news, she has 6 teeth, 3 on the top and 3 on the bottom. She has 2 molars on the top, and more are cutting. So the nights have been hard, but we are getting through ok. She is eating a ton and doesn't stop for one second. She is always on the move. She loves to run and climb. She loves having books read to her. She is still working on her counting and it starting to get more of her alphabet down. She is learning her colors too, she knows: pink, green, yellow, and blue. She is really getting into pretend and dress up. She likes to scribble with her crayons or her markers (they only work on special paper so nothing else gets marked). She loves to pretend she is reading and she likes to read to us or the cat. She likes to wear shoes and she tries to wear my high heals and walk around the house. We are working on her manners, she knows when she is done with her dish to take it to the sink, and she will say "thank you" and "please". Saying "please" is still hard for her, but we try to get her to use the sign when she is upset and wants something, it's a work in progress. Ella and the cat are getting along better and are starting to play tag with each other too.

Over all things are good in Ella's World.
