Walking

All the crazy stuff is happening this week. First talking and now walking. Ok, she isn't walking on her own, but with help. She went around the whole living room twice with her walker piano. I can't believe it, just a few days a go she was trying to figure out why her piano has wheels and now she is using them. At first she needs my help, but once she got going she didn't need me any more. See our pictures for all the fun.

Talking!!!

Ella is talking now. She says "hi", "hey", "daddy", "cat", "kitty", "doggy," and she will combined kitty cat.

Her official first word is "hi".  She crawled up to me and tugged on my pant leg and said "hi." It was very clear and deliberate. She didn't say anything else. She doesn't say much still, but she says "daddy" the most or "kitty". We were at the park and we say some dogs and Ella was given permission to pet them and she said "doggy!" So she is picking up words left and right. She almost has her first sentence too. She said "hi...kitty" yesterday.

They do grow up too fast!

Fell

Ella fell out of her crib today. It was so scary. I was getting ready to change her diaper and she just when head over heels over the edge of the crib. She fell onto her back and I called the doctor and brought her in. She is ok and the doctor doesn't think she has any internal bleeding or broken or brused bones. She was really stiff and her balance was off (which is why they had me bring her in), but she is better after having a good nap.

8 Months

Ella is 8 months old!!!

So what is in the life of an 8 month old? More than you ever want to know. She is a supper fast crawler. She is pulling herself up on everything and trying to clime it (what ever that maybe). She is working on going from one piece of furniture to another.  She wants to learn how to use a spoon, so we will be doing that soon. She still doesn't have any teeth yet Undecided.  She is talking more, she will just blab forever. She is working really hard on her dada and gaga sounds right now. She knows how to click her tongue, clap her hands and she is getting really close to waving hi and goodbye. She is also learning how to fold her hands. She will play peek a boo all on her own now, by holding up something to hide behind while you say "where is Ella?"  She is pretty good at listening to commands and stopping bad behavior when you tell her "no, no." Where ever we go we get so many compliments on what a beautiful baby, a well behaved baby and a smiley baby. She makes friends where ever we go.

Only 4 more months before her first birthday!!! Yikes were did the time go?

4th of July

We had a good 4th of July. We had Grandma and Papa down for the 3 day weekend. We had a good time eating hot dogs and watermelon. Ella got to stay up late and watch the fireworks on PBS. We thought the real thing would be too scary for her, so we stayed in, which was a good idea with all the rain. She loved the music and the bright colors. She just learned to clap a few days a go so she was able to clap for all the fireworks and all the performers during the show, her timing was pretty good. It was a good weekend for to take it easy and spend time with family.
