Ella's dedication was this past Sunday. We had a great time with family. Thank you all who came down. It was a very special time. Ella fell asleep right before we had to go on stage, but it was still a tender moment. We got a CD and a certificate from the church.
After church we went to lunch and has a great time catching up with family and taking pictures. It was a long day for us so we couldn't visit as long as we wanted, but we still enjoyed every one's company.
Mom and Dad stayed for dinner and we has a good time watching video's of Ella. They stayed in town over night and we went to the air base to get some food the next day.
On Saturday Aunt Deborah finally met Ella and we went to the St. Patties Day parade. Ella watch the whole thing and had a good time.
Welcome to Ella's World, an online record of her life. We are a gluten free, cloth diaperin' family. We enjoy going to the zoo and being with good friends. This blog is for friends and family to stay in touch with our lives.

4 Months Old
Ella is now 4 months old. She is 11 lbs. 14 oz and 25 1/4 inches.
So what is in the life of a 4 month old? Well she can roll on to her side, so she will be able to roll onto her tummy (she can already roll onto her back). She loves to sing with her daddy and she loves music. She eats with a spoon pretty well and she knows where her mouth is too. She can put her pasci into her mouth when you ask her where her mouth is, she is so smart. She is starting to teeth and she is letting us know how much she doesn't like it. She is so curious and wants to learn. She is sleeping almost 8 -8.5 hours at night now. She is making friends at church and is always smiling. She is such a sweet sweet little girl.

3 Months Old
Ella is 3 months today! I know everyone says babies grow up fast, and they are right! It is hard to believe that my little girl is 3 months old.
So what is in the life of a 3 month old baby? Well, she can roll over from her tummy to her back going left and right. She is almost perfectly steady with her head. She can sit in your lap with no problems and can even pull herself to a sitting position when you have your thumbs in her hands. She is now singing, yes singing. Chris is in the choir at church and he practices with Ella and she mimics him and tries to sing. She now sings every day on her own and to almost everyone. She is trying really hard to understand her hands and get them to go where she wants them too, which is usually her mouth. She might be teething (oh joy). She is finally big enough for her cloth diapers! She is sleeping through the night almost 8 hours in her own room. She does great during church and has lots of fun in the nursery and she is making some baby friends. I am so excited to be apart of her life right now, but I'm excited to see what the next month will bring.

2 Months Old
She had her well-check visit at the doctors today. She is now 9 lbs. 15 oz and 22 3/4 inchs long. Doctor says she is right on track and that we are doing everything right in takeing care of her. She got her shots today, poor thing. I've never seen her so red before and she hasn't cried like that since birth. She is sleeping and doing ok now.
So what is new in the life of a 2 month old? Well, she coos a lot, she is very very talkative. When she becomes a pre teen I won't be able to shut her up! She loves to talk and tell stories. She plays alot too, she get in about 3-4 hours of play a day. She is holding up her head so well too. She is starting to be able to move her toys around and understand that she is the one moving them and making them make sound. She loves music. She loves hearing Chris sing or music on the radio or coming from her toys. She is a supper smiley baby and likes to be silly when I try to feed her and she knows it! She is starting to sleep though the night, whoo hooo! She can see several feet away now too. So much is going on in her little world I'm sure I've forgot something to add, their is just so much she can do now! Life with baby sure isn't dull, it is very amazing!

1 Month Old
Ella is one month old now. It is hard to believe that she is that old already. It still seems like yesterday we came home from the hospital. She is a great little baby. She only cries when she needs somthing and she doesn't need much. She is very sweet and loves to cuddle. She is getting better at holding her head up and fallowing sounds. She is starting to coo and talk baby gibberish. Her hair is starting to grow and it is looking very red, I'm so excited. I can't wait for Christmas. I know she won't know what is going on, but just the memories of that day for years to come will be priceless. She is starting to wake up so I better go. She is a great little blessing.

Ella's First Thanksgiving
We spent Thanksgiving with my family. We drove up Thursday morning in hopes of missing the bad weather, and we did. We had a nice time with mom and dad. My sister and her boys came over later. Asher and Liam were excited to see their baby cousin. Friday we took it easy and I got to sleep in for the first time since Ella was born. We also got some snow. Saturday we went to see JoAnn, Chris' grandma. We had a nice visit with her and she was thrilled to see her great grand daughter. We were hoping to see Betty, Chris' other grandma, but she was placed in a nursing home and we couldn't get the details of where that was. My parents took us to Red Lobster for dinner that night and Ella behaved beautifully, it was the first time she has been to a restaurant. Sunday we went to church, it was her first time to church too. She did great and barely made a peep. The drive home was very exciting. We left at 3 and got home at 9. The weather man lied. We weren't suppose to get any snow and if we did it was suppose to be an inch. We got a foot and a half. We didn't want to drive in snow and at night with a baby and our cat (Sophia came too), but we got stuck in the middle of the storm. It was not fun feeding Ella in the back of the car and changing her diaper on the car seat with the door open and the snow falling. It didn't help that she pee and got all wet with the car door open. Poor thing was cold! Lucky we had a change of clothes, more blankets and a car bottle warmer. I don't think we'll make this mistake again.
